MADRIGAL THE MAGPIE PUPPET
A WOODLAND OPERA
CLONTER OPERA THEATRE
The magpie is a single-person puppet, which can either be flown low or mounted on a pole to be a high-flying puppet. There are wire struts in the wings and tail to allow them to quiver in flight. The head is separate from the body to give a full range of movement.
The fabrics are all scraps that were already in Clonter's costume store. The plastic sheet was scraps left over from Heironymous the Owl puppet.
Birch ply wood, plastic, wire, wooden beads, spray paint, fabric scraps, cable ties
